Baby Jogger Freedom Stroller
Baby Jogger has been around since 1984, and started out as a way for the founder of Baby Jogger to keep up his fitness lifestyle while still caring for his new son. While there are other strollers in the Baby Jogger Special Needs range, the real forte of the Freedom is being able to take a broad range of passengers. The Freedom really is a multipurpose stroller, in keeping with the Baby Jogger philosophy the Freedom comes with a jogging style single fixed 16” front wheel, which is ideal for tackling just about any terrain, from sidewalks to walking on the beach, it is also very practicle for straightforward “a to b” walks. Then when you need real maneuverability to tackle the mall or a trip down the supermarket, the small swivel wheels afford you the quick direction changing ability you need while doing away with the all terrain capabilities of the single fixed wheel.
The Freedom is designed to grow with your child as they become a young adult and grow in height, with a number of accessories available that can really extent the useful life of the stroller. The two most important are the two extensions, one for the head, the Head Rest Extension, and the other for the legs and feet, the Extended Footwell. Parents and careers have not been forgotten with all this focus on the occupant, the Freedom has a lightweight aluminum frame which is robust at the same time and comes with a lifetime warranty. There is a ‘running break’, just like a bike brake, that operates the front fixed wheel, is mounted on the handle bar, and is especially important when carrying heavier people. And there is a dual rear parking brake to make sure the jogger stays put when you stop for a rest. Then there is the all important fold. Just how easy is it to setup the Freedom for use, and then pack it up when you’re done so you can load it in the car or trunk? Thankfully very easy.
