Which is better?
I am looking for a saddle. My sights are set on 2 right now. The Beval Stamford Saddle, and the Collegiate Convertible Alumni. Are either of these worth the higher prices? The Stamford is $950, and the Collegiate is about $995. Are either of these suitable for the hunter ring? Has anyone had any experience with one (or both) of these saddles?

My college barn has all Collegiate saddles. When I showed with them last summer in hunters, I used one of the school saddles. It was perfectly fine. It’s not as fancy as some of the Crosbys or Pessoas that you see around, but when you’re sitting in the saddle on the horse, no one can tell the difference. And Collegiates are very good, very well made saddles. I like them.
I’ve never tried the Bevals.
