Do i need to use boots on my pony?
At the moment i don’t use any boots on my pony while competing or galloping. But i don’t know wether i need to used boots or not. Any suggestions?
I show jump and Cross country only. do you recommend i use boots while doing these? If so what type shall i use? Thank you for your help anyways.
are you jumping or barrel racing when you compete? if so, i would recommend at least wrapping the legs. that will help to keep the ligaments protected. they are a bit more of a pain in the butt to putt on than boots, but much cheaper. if you gallop a lot i would also recommend it. if you do not gallop often, it’s probably not worth the investment, but others will say that they can clip their leg on something and therefore need boots. a good rule of thumb is if that it is strenuous on the legs, then wrap/boot the pony.
