If you cut off a babies head and put it in a jar full of vinegar real quick could you preserve it?
I’m trying to make one into a candle. Well, a candle holder… I want to hollow out the head and put a candle inside so the light shines out through the eyes and mouth. I need to know how to preserve it so the skin becomes a little tougher and so I can clean it easily with a quick wipe of a cloth or something. Any suggestions?
It would be better to put it in a smoker to dehydrate it. Any liquid preservation techniques are going to make it too wet and too likely to decompose once out of the container.
Remove the soft tissues from the inside of the skull, first, or it won’t dry evenly and you’ll never get the candle in there.
