is it unsual for my horse to eat an likit in one day?
hi , my horse has an likit holder and every time we get a likit he eats it rather than lick it , is this unsual??
No it’s not unusual! They are pure sugar so are very scrummy!
Make sure you are hanging your Likit holder at least 3feet from the nearest wall. That way he cannot hold it against the wall which makes it easier to grab hold of. I also advise people to make sure it’s at least at wither height. You can put anything on the likit holder to make it different – apples, swede, big carrots etc – as long as you can make a hole in it and it’s edible!! If he’s clever enough to still chew a likit I suggest you just give him one now and then as a treat, else you’ll be broke and he’ll be hyper and need fillings!
