how can I prevent/slow wear and water absorption for leather goalie pads?
They are cooper gp58L pads. I’m also using a cooper gm12 blocker and gm3 glove. (yeah their old but i like ‘em so don’t bother saying anything that isn’t related to the question.)
There is no way you can prevent them from getting wet, but to assure that the wetness does not damage the pads, I like to let my legpads dry after every game. A lot of goalies just leave their equipment in their bags between games and it is not good for the pads.
