How much does it cost to get a mini pony gelded?
Hi looking at picking up a miniture pony and have found the perfect pony for my daughter.
The pony is a stallion and I’m only really looking at a good pet for my daughter and also a lawn mower.
Does anybody know how much it costs to get a pony gelded by a vet? Do they actually come out to do it or do you have to bring it into the vet?
It cost me $250.00AUD to get a 3yr old Miniature Horse Stallion gelded and you have to generally take the horse to the vet – the only exception to this rule is people who own stables for racing etc. that have a vet that comes out to them.
It doesnt matter to a vet whether he has bred a mare or not – thats a load of rubbish.
The only things that matter are the horse has to be in good health to go under anaesthetic and the testes have to be completely descended into the sac.
