Create a Wild West Theme with Kids Cowboy Hats
Parties are always fun and exciting and nowadays people always try to set up a theme that they can use to make the celebration more festive and interesting. The most popular theme for a kid’s party is western and it does not matter if your kid is a boy or a girl because kids love to be cowboys and wear the ever coveted kids cowboy hats.
A Wild West theme for your kid’s party is not that difficult to plan. All you need are the basic western props like the sheriff’s stars, bandanas, ropes and of course the party hat – a kids cowboy hats. All these materials are readily available at your local party supply stores or you can check the internet as there are a lot of specialty shops online. Of course, you can also make your own hats if you are inclined to do so as there are patterns available on most arts and crafts websites. But first things first, you need to send out the invitations. You can use invitations shaped like your party hat as this will be a sure way to inform your kid’s friends and their parents that they are going to a western theme party and to be on the safe side, be sure to inform them if you want the kids to come in cowboy attires. Do not forget that your own kid needs to wear a cowboy attire especially as he is the star of the party.
You can spice up the celebration by putting up decorations that would have the feel of the Wild West. Try to make cardboard cutouts shaped like horseshoes, sheriff’ stars, barrels and hats and hang them around the place with some Christmas lights to make it more festive. A big cowboy hat as your table centerpiece is also a good idea. You can dress it up with a bandana or turn it upside down and fill it with flowers, straws or candies. A birthday cake with the same western theme is sure to catch the attention of the kids.
To make your games interesting, you can use stack party hats and stack them like a pyramid and ask the kids to take turns knocking them out with small bean bags or you can ask the kids to stack them up in a pyramid and whoever builds the tallest pyramid is the sure winner. Check out other games and incorporate materials using your Wild West theme in them to make it more lively and exciting. Lastly, prepare give-away goodies by using the kids cowboy hats as your bag and fill them with candies and sweets that your guests can take home with them. These are just simple ways to ensure a successful western theme party.
