saddle fittings for QH?
I’m looking to buy a new english saddle….it’s a cheap on by Pinnacle, and I was wondering, i have a quarter horse that doesn’t really have large whithers. I was wondering would you reccomend the wide tree or the regular…buying online.

I use full quarter horse bars for western if that helps….
If your horse truly fits into full QH bars in a western saddle, you might need a wide tree. My QH is a rather plump gelding and just a big horse overall, and full QH bars are still too big for him (and he uses a regular English tree). None of our horses–including 3 QHs–go in a full-QH bar western saddle.
Ask about refunds/returns–you don’t want to be stuck with it if it doesn’t fit. Or borrow a wide-tree saddle (if you can find one) and try it. Do you currently have an English saddle? If you use a regular tree already and it’s too narrow, try the wide. But if what you have works, then get the same size.
