Searching for an equestrian job but don’t know where to start? There are so many different career opportunities that unless you are already qualified in a specific area and have a definite path to follow, such as an equine vet or riding instructor, then it can be hard to know where to start or even what equestrian job would suit you best.
There are various paths you could take into the equestrian industry but in order to start looking for a career with horses you need to decide whether you want a professional career gained through training and qualifications, for example equine physiotherapist, or equine dentist or whether you are looking for something that requires less formal training, such as supplying equestrian equipment maybe tack or feed.
Whatever the equestrian job you are looking for make sure you fully research the sector you want to enter. Gaining work experience or doing some voluntary work is a good way to experience the job you could end up with.
Having made the decision of which type of job you are looking for there are many ways to search for equestrian jobs online or in equestrian magazines. Depending on the type of job you are looking for your local riding stables, livery yards or saddlery shops may also be useful places to look and ask for jobs.
Whatever the equestrian job, one thing is for sure, working with horses requires dedication and hard work, but gives great rewards.
