Can You Really Earn A Living Tearing Up Old Books And Magazines?
I’m sure it could flabbergast you, but one of the easiest things to sell on eBay is old pieces of paper. But only if you know the right sort of paper to offer.
You can actually make money by offering old pictures for sale that cost you little or nothing to acquire. For virtually guaranteed sales, there’s one subject you really should know: dogs.

Dogs–our canine friends–can be shown to be one of the top-selling subjects. A large contingent of buyers like all kinds of images of their favorite animal, the dog. Others like to collect pictures of a particular breed. For example, a beagle fan might have hundreds of paintings and prints of these scrappy little animals framed and hanging throughout her home.
With some diligent searching, and a bit of luck, you can find a large number of books about dogs from the late 19th century and the 20th century, that contain wonderful color plates illustrating the different breeds. Some of them might contain 20, 30 or more such plates.
When you find this type of book, you can carefully remove the pages with the images, and mat them them individually. Believe it or not, you may then be able to sell them for as much as fifty or a hundred dollars–each!–on auction sites, the most famous being eBay.
A tip: To get top dollar in this business, find and re-sell pictures of the hunting breeds of dog. They are the most popular among collectors.But you can make money selling prints and photos of almost any kind of dog on eBay.
Besides the aforementioned dogs, ships and trains, keep an eye out for books with prints of old timey cars, cities and towns, country scenes, and horses. There are a number of other good-selling subjects as well.
To be a success in this, you must take some time to learn where to find old books with the images that will sell. You must also learn how to remove the images so as to prevent damage. As well, you must spend the time to learn the art of mounting and presenting them to bring in the high bidders.
