Summer nights, dirty horse…?
During show season in the summer, my horse always lays in his poop overnight (he’s white and afraid of water). Sleazy Sleepwear blankets aren’t working to well, and i don’t want my horse to get too hot and/or sweaty overnight. All ones I’ve seen will make him too hot. Anyone have suggestions where to get or buy a blanket/sheet thing that’s lightweight?
I would say find a thin sheet, braid his tail in a simple rope braid and wrap his legs in standing wraps (horses are lest likely to lay down with those on) also this will protect him from getting dirt/poo on any of those areas. also make sure the night before that his stall is completely clean and add some extra shavings (or whatever your stalls are lined with)
