Snaffle Weymouth
My horses new owners!? (HELP)?
I sold my beautiful thoroughbred to my neighbor’s farrier. They are knowledgeable, but their daughter is only 12.
They recently sent photos and I noticed they had put a gag bit on him.
He never did have the best mouth, but I rode him in a snaffle and a drop noseband.
I’m worried about them riding him in a gag, he is my baby and don’t want him being hurt. He is fairly strong…
I did ride him in a weymouth, but I was very gentle. How is the gag different?
Well leo, I did train him myself so I can’t just let it go. Maybe you don’t love animals as much as I do. I’m sorry for caring about my old horse 
Westernfilly: I am unsure as of why they changed his bit, I sold them to him because the mother is a trainer apparantly and the father is a farrier, and my horse had shocking feet. The girl rode him wonderfully in a snaffle when I still owned him.
I agree, leo obviously has never had a strong bond with an animal. Maybe you can email the owners and ask them to switch back to the snaffle bit, or offer them his bridle to keep because he has a sensitive mouth and the gag bit makes you worry, be honest and just tell him the truth.
