Indoor Cycling Bike – 3 Tips to Consider For Finding the Right Cycling Bike
While most of us enjoy cycling outdoors, there are occasions when doing so is not convenient or appropriate. For example, if you live in an area where winters or summers are harsh, then it may not be suitable to cycle outdoors. What to Think About
First, you will need to establish a budget. What is the maximum amount you can spend? Exercise bikes range in price anywhere from $150 to over $2000 for a higher end model. As much as your budget allows, try to get the highest quality bike as you can so it will last a long time.
What features will do you want the bike to have? Some of the indoor cycling bikes will have clipless pedals, built in workout programs, a weighted flywheel, and so forth while others may not.
Also, you want to be sure to buy one from a reputable brand. Doing research on the various brands is an important when buying a quality bike. Some of the brands to consider include Nordic Track, CycleOps, and Life Fitness.
Indoor Cycling Shoes
Although indoor cycling doesn’t require as many accessories as outdoor cycling, there are still some that you should own and use.
An accessory that I would highly encourage getting if you buy an indoor cycling bike are cycling shoes. These shoes are unique to cycling because they have special cleats that will clip to the bike pedals. This allows you to avoid having to use stirrups, which helps prevent tendon strains, damage to your ankles, and discomfort. Moreover, these shoes have added cushion on the balls of the feet, while also being lightweight and breathable.
Although riding outside provides benefits such as feeling the breeze in your face and enjoying the terrain, riding inside gives you an option to still ride should you experience extreme cold or hot weather. Also, it allows you to avoid having to get a gym membership, saving you time and money in the long run. Finally, indoor cycling bikes will help you accomplish your fitness goals without having to ride outside or get a gym membership.
