Can you put a bareback pad on and still not fall off while going up a hill?
theres a bareback pad with no stirrups and if you go up a hill on a 15.2 hands horse will you still stay on?
If you’re a balanced rider with some decent leg strength, you should be able to stay on whether you have a bareback pad or not. I ride my draft cross mare all over the place, up and down hills, with and without tack, and I haven’t fallen off of her. If you’re going up hill, just lean forward and grip with your knees. If you have to, grab a bit of mane. You should be fine.
