The style features a shaft that reaches mid-calf, an angled heel that may reach an inch in height and a pointed toe. The roper style has a lower shaft, lower heel and rounded square formed toe. While cowboy boots were traditionally created for practical purposes, today they are not just seen on the ranch. Folks are wearing cowboy boots as a style statement, even in urban areas where a cow cannot be found for miles!
